Beijing Case represents the result of a scholarship project initiated by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes in cooperation with the Goethe Institut Beijing which was carried out in Beijing, in the summer of 2005. Over a period lasting four months, twelve artists from Germany and China used the city as their laboratory for the artistic examination of the cultural dimensions of high-speed urbanisation in Beijing. The artists are: Heike Baranowsky & Waszem Khan, Thomas Bayrle, Caofei & Ou Ning, Christine de la Garenna & Via Lewandowsky, Echo Yinsin Ho, Mara Kurotschka, Ma Yingli, Ingo Niermann, Susanne Röckel and Xi Chuan.
I was the project assistent and graphic designer.

Not only the hybrid music mix, also the trashy visuals and the diversity of the stylish club people are the trademarks of MBC.
