Ein Freund machte mich vor ein paar Tagen auf eine Veranstaltung im Burgenland aufmerksam: Sido, live im P2 Matters in Mattersburg. Tausend Tattoos, Sidos erste Single aus dem neuen Album Kronjuwelen, war in den letzten 5 Wochen unverändert die Top 1 der A1 Xplore Music Single Charts und dieser Trend scheint sich auch nicht zu verändern. Das macht mich natürlich neugierig darauf, den allerersten erfolgreichen Deutsch-Ghetto-Rapper einmal live zu erleben.
Nach einer 45-minütigen Autofahrt aus Wien erreichten wir das Ziel im Schneesturm. P2 Matters, gerade Ende September 2018 eröffnet, bietet eine spektakuläre Lichtinstallation: hinter dem DJ-Pult wurde eine 20 Quadratmeter HD-LED-Videowall montiert, diese wird gemeinsam mit einer kleineren LED Wall vor dem DJ Pult über Computer gesteuert. Der DJ BIPO gab sein Bestes, um das junge Publikum zum Tanzen zu motivieren. Er spielte eine Mischung aus Pop, Hiphop, Elektro und House Musik der letzten zwei Dekaden, jedoch etwas am Thema vorbei: die jungen Sido Fans fühlten sich von der Musik nicht angesprochen und warteten mit Geduld bei den VIP Tischen.

Der Weihnachtsmann erscheint
Endlich, kurz nach zwei Uhr früh betrat Sido in Adidas Trainingsanzug und Sonnenbrille die Bühne. Er legte gleich los mit Fuffies im Club. Ich war schockiert: „Ist das Sido, oder doch ein Weihnachtsmann, der seine Mütze vergessen hat?“. Der mittlerweile 38-jährige Sido trug einen langen, grauen Bart, der wirklich einem Weihnachtsmann gleicht. Er lachte über sich selbst und erzählte dem Publikum: „Immer wenn ich nach Hause komme, sagt meine Familie der Gandalf ist wieder da!’“ Sido ist eventuell wirklich ein Weihnachtsmann, da seine Weihnachtsshows in der Columbiahalle in Berlin drei Tage hintereinander ausverkauft sind. Umso beeindruckender war es für mich, ihn nur etwa 2 Meter von mir entfernt in einem Club zu sehen.
Die Geburt des Deutsch-Ghetto-Rap
Sidos Kindheit war geprägt von der Armut und Rastlosigkeit. Er war stets umgeben von verzweifelten Menschen. Er ist der Sohn einer Sintiza und eines Deutschen und wächst mit seiner jüngeren Schwester bei der Mutter im Märkischen Viertel in Berlin auf. Anders als Rapper Kool Savas, der sich inhaltlich auf Hiphop-Kultur und Battle-Rap konzentrierte und seine Chartserfolge früher als Sido erzielen konnte, verarbeitet Sido seine Erfahrung als Immigrant zweiter Generation in seiner Musik . Aus diesem Grund können wir behaupten, dass der Deutsch-Ghetto-Rap in 2004 im Mainstream angekommen war.
